Many of our learners have been isolated during the pandemic and haven’t had many opportunities for socialization. In order to alleviate the stress of being home alone, we have developed a Walk and Talk program.
On Mondays, learners and volunteers meet at Blair Park, then go for a walk around the Kitsuksis Dike.
On Wednesdays, learners and volunteers meet at the Harbour Quay for coffee and conversation.
There is no instruction taking place at these visits; it’s simply an opportunity for socialization (and for some of our learners to practice their English language skills).
