HomeVolunteer Opportunities

Walk and Talk Program

Many of our learners have been isolated during the pandemic and haven’t had many opportunities for socialization. In order to alleviate the stress of being home alone, we have developed a Walk and Talk program.

On Mondays, learners and volunteers meet at Blair Park, then go for a walk around the Kitsuksis Dike.

On Wednesdays, learners and volunteers meet at the Harbour Quay for coffee and conversation.

There is no instruction taking place at these visits; they are simply an opportunity for socialization, and for our learners to practice their English language skills.
