I submit this application and the required fee ($5) to become a Member of Literacy Alberni Society.
I certify that I am 16 years or older and am eligible to vote in society elections.
I declare that I have read the Bylaws and Constitution of Literacy Alberni Society and am aware of the rights and obligations of all Literacy Alberni Society’s Members set forth in the Constitution and By-laws of the Society.
I acknowledge that I have read all the required forms and that the information provided within this application is true and correct. I accept membership to Literacy Alberni Society.
I understand the fee to become a member of Literacy Alberni Society is $5.00 per year, due at time of application submission or renewal request. Literacy Alberni Society’s Financial Year End date is August 31st of each year, with new memberships starting September 1st of each year. Members who have not renewed membership within 1 month of membership expiration will be terminated and must reapply for membership, as outlined in the Bylaws of Literacy Alberni Society.
Members must renew and be in good standing in order to vote at General or Special meetings of the Society, as outlined in the Bylaws of the Literacy Alberni Society. Memberships must have been approved 30 days prior to AGM or Special Meeting Dates to be eligible to vote. Members not in good standing who have not exceeded the 1 month period for renewal must pay their membership fees in order to vote at the AGM or other Meetings of the Literacy Alberni Society.
